1. ALWAYS ARRIVE BEFORE TIME
Seems little silly right? Arriving to the interview venue early even if nobody is there to receive you or acknowledge your arrival is one of the easy step to do. If you arrive late or on time then you may be missing out on the unofficial part of the interview process. So arrive early and be nice to all staff you encounter, but definitely no flirting!
2. PREPARE IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR BIG DAY
Be it ironing your formal attire, polishing your shoes, arranging your CV and other documents, way of travelling, having a good meal before leaving, grooming everything is important and required to be done before the interview day. Time management is vital as it keeps you updated and confident.
3. MAINTAIN A GOOD POSTURE
You may be unaware of your posture while sitting and standing. Casual body language may give negative points to your appearance and it is done by you unknowingly every time. Make sure you sit straight with confidence while giving the interview and also while standing never bend your back giving out a protruding back and bulging stomach.
4. MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH EVERYONE YOU SPEAK WITH AND SMILE
Employers keep a check n the candidates much before the actual interview begins.
How you interact with the receptionist or secretary may well be taken into account when considering you for the position – this gives the organisation an idea of your personality outside of the formal interview setting. Eye contact and smile while talking informally also gives a good impression to others around you.
5. EXPECT DIFFERENT TYPES OF ROUNDS
Group activities , GD, One on one sessions, Role plays, aptitude tests you never know what may come for the day. Keep yourself well updated with the company's past interviews, duration and other important things. keep yourself hydrated and have a good meal before leaving to maintain the energy throughout.
Rest everything depends on your performance. always practice and learn your stuff. be knowledgeable about the position you are applying to.
ALL THE BEST!
